Terms of Use
Last updated: 06 November 2026
These terms apply to your use of Jigsaw: Piece by Piece (“the app”), provided by Pulse orbit (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Using the app
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app, or interfere with its servers, security or other players.
If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use the app and make purchases.
2. Your photos
- Your photos remain yours. Single-player puzzles are made and stored on your device.
- When you choose a photo for a friend race, you allow us to store it and share it with the other player in that race, only to run the race.
- Only use photos you have the right to use. Don't use photos that are illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that show other people without their permission.
- We may remove race content and block access if these rules are broken.
3. Friend races
Races are played with people you invite via a link or code. Only share invites with people you know. Race names must not be offensive or impersonate anyone. Race results are provided for fun and may be affected by connection problems; we can't guarantee a race will always complete.
4. Free play, ads and limits
The app is free to download and includes ads. Free players can start a limited number of friend races and own-photo puzzles (currently 1 new race every 2 hours and 3 own-photo puzzles per day). Watching an optional rewarded ad can unlock an extra one. We may change these limits.
5. Premium purchases and subscriptions
- Premium removes ads and the free-play limits. It's available as a Weekly or Monthly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You'll be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Lifetime means for as long as we continue to offer the app.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Use “Restore purchase” in the app to restore Premium on a new device signed in to the same store account.
6. Content and ownership
The app, its design, artwork, sounds, gallery puzzles and code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
7. Third-party services
The app relies on services from third parties, including Google Firebase, ad networks, Apple and Google. Their terms and privacy policies also apply. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
8. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop parts of the app, including features, gallery puzzles, prices and limits. We'll try to give notice of major changes. We may suspend access if you break these terms.
9. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent allowed by law, we don't guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that saved progress will never be lost.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
11. App Store users
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms. Apple's Standard EULA also applies where these terms don't cover something.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
